Santa Fe College is known for more than just being named the 2015 Aspen Prize winner as the No. 1 college in the nation. SF also takes pride is serving Alachua and Bradford counties and the surrounding communities. SF offers a wide variety of services year-round.

Santa Fe College Teaching Zoo: A unique 10-acre zoo in Gainesville, Florida, is one of only two teaching zoos in the nation. The SF Teaching Zoo is coordinated by eight full time staff members, home to over 75 different species of animals and is maintained by over 200 students enrolled in the college's premier Zoo Animal Technology Program. The zoo showcases a diverse collection that contains both native and exotic species for everyone to enjoy.Visitors enjoy the Bald Eagles, White-throated Capuchin monkeys, Galapagos tortoises, Matschie's Tree Kangaroo and Asian small-clawed otters to name a few. These species and many other mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians are on display in a naturally shaded environment. The 1/4 mile trail through the wooded environment is lined with sawdust and is stroller and/or wheelchair accessible. The Zoo features several picnic tables for our guests. They are located at the entrance under the shaded trees. In addition, the Zoo has several covered picnic areas located at the playground. Please restrain from bringing glass into the zoo.

Santa Fe College Kika Silva Pla Plantetarum - Since 2006, the Kika Silva Pla Planetarium has been dedicated to enriching the learning environment of Santa Fe College students and our community. We employ the latest educationally innovative technology in a unique immersive-learning environment for SF and UF students, public and private school children, community groups, and the public of North Central Florida. Family friendly shows every Saturday.

Santa Fe College Museum of Earth Science - Santa Fe College's Museum of Earth Science is home to over 1,700 mineral, fossil and rock samples around the world. The museum also has martian and lunar meteorites and other "rocks from space." (Only open Monday-Friday)

Santa Fe College Rock Cycle Garden - The Jean Klein Rock Cycle Garden is a one of a kind outdoor exhibit on the Northwest Campus of Santa Fe College in Gainesville, Florida. It features over twenty boulders, many weighing thousands of kilograms. These boulders were collected from different localities across the U.S.A.
