 nd interactive program, participants will learn how to be responsible, resp
 ectful, and safe around the animals in their lives. We’ll explore what pets
  need to be happy and healthy—including food, water, shelter, exercise, vet
 erinary care, love, and plenty of patience.\n\nWe’ll talk about how animals
  communicate and why it’s important to respect their personal space. Partic
 ipants will learn how to interact appropriately with their own pets, unders
 tand when an animal may want to be left alone, and recognize some of the si
 gnals animals use to tell us how they are feeling.\n\nAnd then comes the bi
 g question: What should you do if you see a strange dog in your neighborhoo
 d?\n\nShould you run? Pet it? Call it over? Stand still? We’ll talk through
  real-life situations and learn some simple rules for safely responding whe
 n we encounter unfamiliar animals.\n\nThrough stories, questions, and hands
 -on discussion, participants will discover that being an animal lover isn't
  just about wanting to hug every dog or cat we meet. It’s about understandi
 ng animals, respecting their needs, making responsible choices, and knowing
  how to keep both ourselves and animals safe. Because being a true animal h
 ero means knowing when to play, when to help, when to give space—and when t
