Say YES to a healthy start for you and your baby! 

Healthy Start provides maternal and child health services to improve pregnancy outcomes and help children get a healthy start in life.  Healthy Start offers services for you when you are pregnant or between pregnancies, and for your baby from birth to age three.

Everyone qualifies for Healthy Start services by saying “yes” to Healthy Start screenings with your prenatal care provider and at the hospital at the time of the birth of your child.  Healthy Start screenings are simply a set of questions to determine if there are any risks that could affect your pregnancy and your baby’s growth or development.

Breastfeeding education and support
Case management
Childbirth Education
Community referrals
CPR and First Aid
Home or office visits or telephone support
Baby spacing and reproductive life planning
Nutritional assessment and education
Parenting education and support
Psychosocial counseling
Smoking cessation education and support
Car seat checks and fittings
