Healthy Kids Day® is the Y’s national initiative to improve the health and well-being of kids and families. At Barco Newton Fleming Island YMCA, first 150 kids who RSVP and attend will receive a free book and goody bag. There will be vendor tables, meet and greet with a local children's author, crafts, free family yoga at 12 pm, free swim tests, and more! New World Reading Initiative activities at 10:30 and 11:30 am. Also get information about swim lessons, summer camps, and more!

New World Reading Initiative
At participating YMCA’s, we will be offering a literacy family activity in partnership with the New World Reading Initiative. We ask all parents and their child(ren) to RSVP prior to the event.

What does an RSVP get you?
Participation in a literacy activity for you and your child(ren)
(1) FREE book for the first 150 children (Grades VPK – 5th) who check in on that day at their local Y
FREE Chick-Fil-A meal for RSVP individuals (includes parents, caregivers and children)
FREE monthly books on your child’s reading level mailed to your house for those who qualify for (1) year
