Green Cove Springs Christmas on Walnut Street

Kick off the holiday season with the City of Green Cove Springs as downtown and Spring Park transform into a winter wonderland filled with cherished traditions, community spirit, and Christmas cheer.
Start the day with the Jingle Bell Fun Run, hosted by Florida Striders, then grab a bite to eat from one of the local food trucks. Stroll through the Christmas Village on Walnut Street, organized by Essence of You, and enjoy holiday shopping and festive activities. Be sure to make your way back to the Spring Park Pool Pavilion for a visit with Santa, hosted by Elks Lodge 1892, and take in the beautiful display of 245 community-decorated Parade of Trees throughout Spring Park.
At 6:00 PM, the festivities continue downtown with the annual Green Cove Springs Christmas Parade, organized by the Green Cove Springs Business League. Featuring more than 80 floats decorated in dazzling Christmas lights, the parade is a beloved holiday tradition that brings our community together year after year.
As the evening comes to a close, gather in Spring Park for the illumination of the City Christmas tree, marking the first lighting of the season. Then take another stroll through the Parade of Trees and enjoy the glow of the beautifully decorated displays. The evening's tree lighting provides the perfect finale to a full day of holiday festivities and officially welcomes the Christmas season to Green Cove Springs.
