Join us for a free youth fishing program at Camp Chowenwaw Park, led by our Parks Naturalist. Little Anglers is an excellent program for children under the age of 16 to explore fishing in Clay County. Participants will learn Friendly Florida Angler principles to attach bait, set a lure, and cast. This activity is a "Catch and Release" program. While it's recommended for children ages 8 and up, a parent or guardian must accompany all children throughout the event. Please remember to bring bottled water, sun protection, and closed-toe shoes.
*Any adult wanting to participate must hold a fishing license from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC)*
This Program is in partnership with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), Florida Youth Conservation Centers Network (FYCCN), and St. Johns Riverkeeper.
Clay County Parks and Recreation has equipment to share with activity-registered guests. Seats are limited.
