Flags for Heroes is a community tribute presented by the Rotary Clubs of Orange Park Sunrise, Orange Park Sunset, Orange Park Noon, Green Cove Springs, Fleming Island, and Keystone Heights, together with the Veterans Council of Clay County, commemorating the 25th Anniversary of 9/11 and honoring heroes across our community.
With the generous support of Title Sponsor Orange Park Mall, more than 200 American flags will be proudly displayed at the Town of Orange Park and Orange Park Mall to honor the resilience, sacrifice, and dedication of those who have served and those who continue to serve. Our gratitude extends to all who contributed to the post‑9/11 recovery: Service Members, First Responders, Health Care Workers, Pharmacy Workers, Grocery Store Employees, Teachers, Truckers, Delivery Service Workers, and every hero in our lives. We also honor the courageous children of Dreams Come True, whose strength continues to inspire.
A public ceremony will be held on Friday, September 11, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Orange Park Mall (AMC entrance). The program includes patriotic music, the National Anthem, Pledge of Allegiance, Honor Guard, and the reading of heroes’ names. Congressman Aaron Bean will serve as guest speaker. Attendance is free, and chairs will be provided.
Community members may sponsor a hero, with proceeds supporting local veterans’ programs, youth leadership initiatives, and nonprofit service projects across Clay County.
