Puppet Workshop at The Art Room

Come join us on a tour into the world of puppetry! During each workshop we will explore a distinct style of puppetry including Shadow, Rod, Tabletop and Found Object. Each day camp will include a lesson on the history of that particular puppet style and then design/building time, when students will build their own puppets in that style. Students will use a wide variety of puppet making materials including fabric, wire, wood, foam and more. Students will also learn some of the basic principles of puppet manipulation and bringing objects to life.
