Kids Dog Handling Workshop

Come join our FREE Kids Dog Handling Class and learn how to interact with dogs SAFELY while having fun!
Join The Hound Crew as we have fun with YOUR kids and OUR dogs! We will show your child the safe games to play with dogs, how to interact with dogs they don't know, how to safely feed and train with treats and SO MUCH MORE! Our trainers want YOUR kid(s) to be safe while having fun!
This class is geared towards kids ages 5-17years old!
***This class is free but we DO ask for a pet rescue donation item to be divided amoung our local shelters and rescues! Some items needed are:
- Canned or Dry dog or cat food (unopened)
- Dog/Cat toys (new or used) or treats (unopened)
- Towels or blankets (new or used)
- Cleaning supplies (bleach, papertowels, floor cleaner)
- Puppy/kitten supplies (potty pads, milk replacement, bottles, heating pads)
- Other items you may think of!
Our staff dogs are here to make sure YOUR kids have a great time! We ask that pet dogs stay at home as this is a class FOR THE KIDDOS! Parents will be asked to stay with the kids while they are here and may even ask questions if they like!
* Closed toed shoes are required! AS THIS IS AN OUTDOOR CLASS, please make sure that all children are dressed appropriately for the weather and have bugspray/sunscreen and water bottles! *
We believe that it is important for kids to build confidence around dogs so kids will only be asked to participate if they are comfortable doing so!
Kids in the class will rotate from station to station to work with one of our trainers and helpers! Each station will have a theme and each kid will have a chance to participate!
Kids will go home with a fun worksheet and information that they can keep to look back on... as well as some great knowledge!
